This week the Army announces an increase of more than 1,000 reservists on active duty in support of the partial mobilization. Both the Navy and the Air Force announce an increase of almost 400 reservists, while the Marine Corps experienced an increase of 18 reservists and the Coast Guard experienced a decrease of four reservists over the same period.
At any given time, services may mobilize some units and individuals while demobilizing others, making it is possible for these figures to either increase or decrease. Total number currently on active duty in support of the partial mobilization for the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 16,218; Naval Reserve, 8,500; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 29,036; Marine Corps Reserve, 1,110; and the Coast Guard Reserve 2,223. This brings the total Reserve and National Guard on active duty to 57,087 from 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and individual augmentees.
