This week the Army and the Air Force announce sizable increases of 1,057 and 917 more reservists, respectively, on active duty in support of the partial mobilization. The Marine Corps and the Navy also announce increases of 76 and 57 reservists, respectively. The net result is 2,077 more reservists on active duty in support of the partial mobilization than last week.
At any given time, Services may mobilize some units and individuals while demobilizing others, making it is possible for these figures to either increase or decrease. Total number currently on active duty in support of the partial mobilization for the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 17,355; Naval Reserve, 8,965; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 29,037; Marine Corps Reserve, 1,216; and the Coast Guard Reserve 2,168. This brings the total Reserve and National Guard on active duty to 58,741 from 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and individual augmentees.
